Austin Lycans Footy

I don’t keep up much with the skate scene these days but it’s fun to see some new rippers. Take Austin Lycans. Stumbled on to his skate footage at a site called Virb. Love the backside tail at the end of the clip.

Band of Horses @ Pitchfork Music Festival

I enjoyed BOH’s Everything All the Time but the Seattle band’s debut SubPop release can get a boring at times. Looks like this is a band you want to see live. (Note: if it’s slow to load try clicking the “pause” button for a minute)

How I’m Livin’

Blowing dust off the site… Here’s what I’ve been up to:

  • This summer = Project Destroy Backyard
  • Gathering signatures. While others work to solve the world’s problems or volunteer in their community, I’ve been passing around a petition to remove the “No Parking” signs that now line my street. People power!
  • Finally upgrading Wordpress, the tool that publishes this blog. Making the jump from 1.5 to 2.2. I never thought that importing data from one Wordpress site to another could be so bloody difficult. Continue reading…
