Sailing the Seas of Cheese

You’re at the doctor’s office and it’s been almost 45 minutes since you planted yourself in the back of the waiting room. Growing increasingly annoyed at the wait, you flip through a tattered copy of Oprah’s “O Magazine”.
It’s the January 2006 issue. Not even the 75 gallon hexagon-shaped aquarium, gurgling softly next to you, facilitates a relaxed state-of-mind. But suddenly your eyes close, and a sense of calm and stillness gently washes over you. You’ve sailed away to a tranquil, exotic lagoon, and the red-smeared sun is lazily dropping below the horizon. The water is glassy, shimmering, smooth. Just like the heavenly chords filling the waiting room, taking you away to a land of smoothness. You never want to return.
Ready to go back to paradise? Yacht rock can take you there. Watch the first episode here and then sail over to You Tube for all the rest. (Semi-NSFW - Also: Captain’s hat tip to Adam C).
My favorite Yacht Rock song? Hurry boy, it’s waiting here for you. What’s yours?

Billy, this Yahct Rock posting made my Monday morning. I open up my laptop to the depressing news of N. Korea nuke testing and ironfisted censorship from the Kremlin. Is this the Cold War all over again? What’s next, You Tube clips of the made-for-tv hit, The Day After? This Yacht Rock is absolute genuis! The Christoper Cross song makes me think of 80’s Dudley Mooore movies. Is that from Arthur? The Toto song is straight Mozart. Thanks for the uplifting post.
