For Sale: Technics SL-1200MK2 Turntable

Hi-fi purists, please forgive me. I’m selling my turntable and I’m selling my vinyl. Well, I’m actually keeping several of the records. I can’t bring myself to sell any of my Smiths albums. And there are several others that–much more than any of my CDs– have a powerful nostalgic appeal. Such as Green Day’s “39/smooth” from 1990. Or my Jawbreaker records. Man, I’m surprised the grooves on “24 Hour Revenge Therapy” haven’t been ground smooth.

At some point I had to admit that I’m not interested in collecting records anymore. I think the iPod made this reality all the more evident. At any rate, if you’re interested, or know someone who may be, please get in touch! More info (copied from my Craig’s List post):

DESCRIPTION:
Technics 1200s turntables are preferred by DJs and vinyl fans across the globe. The high torque motor, pitch control, stop/start responsiveness, and solid construction set the standard by which other turntables are judged.

I am selling a Technics 1200 turntable for $275. It is in good/great condition. I am no 1200 expert but as far as I can tell, everything works perfectly. All the lights (on/off, stop/start, 33/45, pop-up, pitch control), pitch control, arm lock, arm height control, anti-skating device, work fine. There are light scratches and scuffs on the surface of the turntable. Basic wear & tear. Dustcover is heavily scratched on the front. (If this is important a new one is approx. $30).

INCLUDES: Shure M447X stylus, Two slipmats, Dustcover
DOES NOT INCLUDE: 45 adapter, Manuals and Warranty, Original Rubber Slipmat
